Replacement Photos:
SR20DE Timing Chain Tensioner
|
The timing chain tensioner is in
the center of this image - located on the right rear of the cylinder
hear, just above and ahead of the oil filter. The area is tight, but the
job is suprisingly easy. |
|
The upgraded tensioner on the
right is superior to the original factory part. The oil chamber and
passage are larger for greater volume and pressure. The new gasket
is a two-piece stamped design, compared to old one composed of a single
stamping with a rubber insert. |
|
This is a head-on view off the
new tensioner and gasket prepared for installation. Note the orientation
of the assembly and the locked plunger. |
